Can't comment on the rooms but husband and I shared an amazing meal. We had the veggie dirty fries and the seafood platter, with both being absolutely delicious. Decent portion sizes.

Nice quiet room. Breakfast fine. Evening food was good value - spicy parsnip soup and the pie of the day (with a good sized serving of veg) were good. Friendly staff. Kingsand is a lovely place to stay while walking the coast path. The only improvements might be a choice of teas and biscuits in the room.

Only a quick stop here for a pint and a dessert after having mains elsewhere. The crumble with custard was lovely. Would return.

I have eaten here previously and it was Really good food I had a lovely fish pie, today's menu was typical pub grub, fish and chips, scampi etc and so I ordered the Scampi. Unfortunately the food has gone massively down hill, peas were stone cold, chips were hard and dry but what really killed it for me was a big black hair in my food, really turned me off eating. I'm not the type to complain in person as I feel like it's 'making a scene' so maybe they would have dealt with it, but the meal was ruined for me by that point anyway. It's also very overpriced for what you get so I couldn't recommend this place.

Always drop in for a drink. Good range of beers and the place is dog friendly too. Particularly liked the dirty fries that filled a gap.

The staff are superb. The pub itself is really lovely. The food was fantastic. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. I would definitely be coming back even though it’s out of my way. Well worth the journey.

Our room was above the bar and eventime the pub door was opened it shut with a BANG causing a massive reverberation through the floor to the room. This only stopped at 10.30pm when the pub shut for the night. Mattress has stains and the mattress cover was dirty 😞. Full English breakfast was fine if you like everything deep fried 😕. Great location though. I kept the slices of Sunday roast to re-sole my hiking boots.

This was a great experience! We discovered this restaurant while looking for some place to have dinner after 21.30. A few of the places in the area don't serve food after 21, but this place accommodated us. I would definitely recommend this place! Food & drinks: The food was 10/10

I'm not sure what has happened to this place. It used to serve good, gastro-pub level food. Recently (Sept'23), though, when I visited, I found they had changed their menu to basic pub meals (think scampi, steak, chips, etc). The quality of the food seems to have nose-dived, even on these comparatively basic meals Perhaps a change of chef?! Anyway, very disappointing, especially if you're after something better than a basic bar meal.

Had a lovely Fathers Day lunch here. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was delicious. We had the Sea Food sharing platter and Sunday roast. Very nice! My dog was very welcome in the pub and treated to gravy bones by the staff whilst we dined. Kingsand is a beautiful fishing village and our stop at the Halfway House really made our stay all the more memorable. Will be visiting again for sure!
