If I could award less than 1 star we would. We booked a private Segway Safari with this company on 28th October this year for my 19 year old son's birthday as a treat for our whole family. The event was at 1pm so we decided to make a day of it and drive down from Exeter to enjoy a brunch and then get the ferry across to Mount Edgecombe. We duly spent the morning enjoying the Barbican and then made our way across. We had boarded the ferry and I missed a call from an unknown number. I called back spoke to, it turned out, the owner, Richard Toy. He explained that regrettably they had had to cancel our event as one member of staff had had to be sent home. I explained that this was unfortunate as it was a special occasion and we were now minutes away. I asked if we could join another public group as we'd travelled so far and the party was looking forward to it. As a fellow business owner I appreciate business' have issues and that customers expectations have to be managed. In this instance they didn't come close. While I appreciated that a staff member had had to be sent home, I was surprised that this meant that the whole business had to close evidently so there was no resilience at all. I then asked that our contribution to our expenses of fuel and ferry cost could be met, which we felt was not unreasonable in that we had effectively entered a contract for a service they could not provide and had incurred costs in doing so. Mr Toy said he would have to think about it and he was within his right to cancel events. I suggested that this was not the point and it was just understanding our situation. This was something he was clearly not interested in even trying to entertain and his manner was far from what you would expect in the circumstances. So there we were, on the wrong side of the Tamar with a vehicle full of disappointed people on what should have been a fun day, oh and we had to wait 5 days for the refund and had had to pay for the whole inconvenience. As luck would have it my partner rang Hang Loose at The Eden Project who could squeeze us into a 3 event package at the last minute, so gratefully we drove west. On checking in they were very apologetic that one of their event apparatus had failed so gave us the option of choosing another event which we could enjoy even if it was more expensive and they would absorb the extra cost. Well this was a refreshingly professional way of overcoming an issue and one the Mr Toy (who refused to give us his surname but was easily found on Companies House) could learn from in his business. Needless to say we will not be visiting his enterprise again. Thank you Eden Project for saving the day.

My first experience of Segway. Billy provided excellent tuition and confidence building. We had booked a private safari and following the skills building course Billy took us to explore the deer park with stunning views of Plymouth Sound. The weather was kind which added value to our Segway experience. Would I go again ? Definitely! Highly recommended. Just make sure you understand the weight requirements to avoid disappointment.

Another lovely visit to the Adventure Segway today. I've been 5 times and today we took some friends for their first experience. The team (Billy and Mazz today) are always so friendly & enthusiastic and take time to explain all the safety so everyone enjoys themselves. It's such a good hour or so roaming the beautiful park. I'd give them 6 stars if I could. See you soon!

Had an amazing time at Adventure Segway the guys were so friendly and happy to help with anything. They make your experience fun and enjoyable and really make sure you get your moneys worth. We actually went on both the coastal and deer park trails and we loved them both, even lucky enough to see some deer.
The Segways are so easy to use and the guys will be there to help you in any case of struggle. There is many photo opportunities and the guys and they will even get some fun photos in there to save for memories! The training course is well thought out and they do make it fun with all the little tasks.
The hour and a half goes by too quickly and I can guarantee you will be laughing and smiling the whole time.
We will be recommending this place to family and friends without a doubt.

This experience is amazing. It is the best segway course I have ever done. The instructors were hilarious and the views were stunning of Plymouth. (the pictures really do not do it justice)
